1960 Clothing

1960 clothing is a Hip urban afrocentric clothing line that is primarily aimed at serving the youths and the young at heart with uniquely customized teeshirts and clothing. At 1960 clothing we believe that you are what you wear, and fashion has transcended the generic ideals of just buying a tshirt at the mall and putting it on.Clothing is more than covering, it should be a statement of purpose and ideology. What better way to advertise ourselves as a brand, than the clothes we put on?
The company is located in Baltimore Maryland, but has operations in Nigeria, Cotdivoire and UK Our designs are inspired by careful conceptualization of trendy themes, mixed with functional interaction with the public. Afterall if you design what the public wants to wear then we will be in business. Our designs cover the trends of the times and will always be functionally and fashionably relevant

Our mission is to ensure that we have a brand inspired by African themes and people that will compete with global brands. We hope to get to that stage in the nearest future.
AWARENESS AND MARKETING DRIVES:
We have organized and participated in no fewer than FOUR fashion shows and fashion events in the state of Maryland and we are positioning ourselves for more as we expand regionally and ultimately globally Some of the institutions we have displayed our designs are
1- Morgan state university Baltimore FEVER 2010 Fashion show
2- University of Maryland College park Annual African Fashion show
3- Baltimore city community College Nigerian Fashion day
4- University of Baltimore Fashion Show
5- Goucher college Maryland
We currently do a lot of digital advertising to enhance our brand reach but we also have dedicted slots in magazines and radio stations

OPPORTUNITIES AT 1960
We have currently worked with over 50 models from the brands inception and these were people selected from the participating schools in the fashion shows .We currently have our inhouse models but we have an open door policy for anyone who feels they have what it takes to either strut their stuff on a runway or project their faces digitally. We currently have an outsourcing agency that handles the selection , recruitment and integration of the models.
The journey has been arduous but we have made ample progress in little time , the brand was officially launched in the US at the luxurious 5 seasons lounge and it was a successful event.
Although we have a lot of people to thank for the journey so far , we have to drop notable mentions for these outstanding organizations and people

Aki And Girlfriend End Their Two Years Relationship

Aki, the miniature in nature comic actor surprised the Nollywood and his fans when he celebrated a tall and beautiful lady at the exotic nightclub in Ikeja called Q Club about two years now. In fact, the stakeholders in Nollywood and lovers of the very funny actor all teemed to rejoice with him when he celebrated his fiancée amidst pomp and fanfare.

The night which turned out to be a night of fun, dance and laughter, which turned out too be a love ground where the proposed to be together for ever and ever, we were told, remains most memorable in their lives.

Having professed their love to the society, the entire lovers of the entertainment industry was shocked when, a couple of weeks after their ‘display of love in public’, the lovers sang a new rhythm. Fresh facts why their affair crumbled like a poorly arranged pack of cards has emerged and if what we gathered is anything to go by, the two loverbirds may never come back again.

We gathered that, Nancy also known as Nkechi’s parent, from the outset, was not in support of their beautiful daughter’s marriage to the ‘dwarf’ actor, the reason, according to the scoop is that they would never affianced their daughter to a ‘dwarf’.

Meanwhile, while Aki was said to be looking forward to a blossom future marriage, the girl on the other hand, was said to have been seeing other guys most especially tall and handsome friends of Chinedu, though, this can not be substantiated.

As you are reading this, the former lovers who were fond of themselves before the crack in their affair have since gone their separate ways. While Aki has moved on with his acting career, Nkechi who had a fatal accident and got her two legs affected, we exclusively gathered, is doing well with her studies at the Lagos State University.
